Egyptian polticians advise attacking Ethiopia - AP
Looks like Ethiopia crossed a red line. I doubt Egypt will follow-through with their threats. It's a logistical nightmare preparing an air strike from the Sudan (assuming they even allow them to). But President Morse can use this external opportunity to unify his people and take away some of the domestic challenges to his authority. Only time will tell. Let's hope for peace!

Quote: Politicians meeting with Egypt's president have proposed hostile acts against Ethiopia, including backing rebels and carrying out sabotage, to stop it from building a massive dam over the Nile River.

Despite bad press, Eritrea shows remarkable progress
Written by: Barnabas Araya Yohannes

Let’s pause and call to mind that Eritrea is a newest country (only second to Juba) that started from zero. It did not have oil, gold or any other natural resources that could generate foreign income. Let alone rich natural resources, it did not even have drinkable water. Its main income has been the 2% contribution of Eritreans in the Diaspora. But, many (if not most) Eritreans in the Diaspora do not make a regular payment of their 2% contribution.

Moreover, at the time of its liberation (1991), a lot of its youths, who would have been urgently needed to meet the challenges of the coming decades, were either killed or maimed during the war or they were arbitrarily massacred by the brutal Ethiopian aggression. On the top of that, Eritrea entered into another costly war (1998). Ever since then, it has been living under the threat of war.

If you must jump a ditch, you should step back a bit in preparation for your jump over the ditch.

As you know, when you build electric poles, homes, schools, hospitals, water reservoirs, pavements, roads, tunnels, highways, etc. etc., you will need to import a great deal of oil, asphalt, metal and all kinds of building materials. You also must purchase weapons for the defense forces.

Admittedly, even though the work they have completed and the distance they have traveled had been long, thorny and arduous, beset with many pitfalls, yet the prize of their accomplishments has been priceless. Even though Eritrea has been alone and limited in their experiences, capacities, and resources, yet, with their hard work, dedication, and sacrifice, they had not only been able to feed their own people, they even have never been in the top 20 lists of “The Failed States Index.” (Unlike Ethiopia).

Despite their religious, linguistic, and tribal differences they are all welded together and united as one family. They work together, they play together, the laugh together, and they cry together.

This only shows, despite the fact that Eritrea was made an object of such monstrous betrayals, unfair sanctions, and a target for such vicious assaults, it has been going from strength to strength, forging ahead, undaunted and its spirit unbroken by the injuries that it has received.

Even though the combined forces of the enemies that Eritrea was fighting were fierce, numerous, and unrelenting, yet with their firm resolution and unshakable confidence, they were able to vanquish their hopes and annihilate their forces.

Though Eritrean resources are as yet meager, though its recent victories in the mining industries are as yet unconsolidated, though it has hardly recuperated from its recent wars, all these construction works undertaken during a period of great national exhaustion and severe shortage, demonstrates, thereby, its strength and resilience in the face of the trials and obstacles which it has had to struggle against in the past.

The miracle this courageous and determined people have performed over so vast a territory, in so short a time, and under such adverse circumstances, cannot but foretell future success of an enterprise infinitely more meritorious.

With the discovery of gold, potash and other natural resources, Eritrea now is standing on the threshold, which will enable them to swiftly march out of poverty into wealth and prosperity.

This nation, so young in years, yet nevertheless so rich in exploits, may, in the months immediately ahead, as well as in the years immediately following this year, if they continue to persevere and labor with persistent confidence and dynamism, what awaits them is a stretch of an endless vista of success, of an enterprise infinitely more meritorious, and of far greater promise endowed with vastly superior potentialities.

The minute you sell your Eritrean identity is when you become a tool
Written by Samson Negassi

One fact we should all remember is that, the minute you give up or sell your identity, then you automatically become a tool. Now, these tools have no control of their actions because they are steered by Weyane. As we can see from their every weyane funded meetings from DebreZeyt in Ethiopia to Mark center in Alexandria, Virginia, the tools are dispersed without any fruit. And the reason for their
downfall is that, while one bids to sell Eritrea, the other one wants to divide it by regions and sell it too. They are infested with sick and backward and dividing regional and religious ideologies that, they are against each other. They eat each other that its a blessing in disguise they are where they are, in hell.

On Eritrean independence day, Friday 24th May, 2013 at 12:15, these tools with Tigrayan Ethiopians arrived at the Eritrean Embassy in DC to show their stand against Eritrean independence. But when they saw Eritreans celebrating their independence just outside their very Embassy in DC, the servants got frustrated and started throwing Eggs at the Eritreans who were celebrating their independence. And just after they loitered there for 25 minutes, they were chased away by the police. Then when they gathered in the evening (mainly for free meal paid for by the State department via servants Weyane) at the Hilton Mark center Alexandria, they as usual were hurling insults at each other and it resulted in cutting their useless meeting short.

At the same time, Eritreans all over the world and particularly in DC area were celebrating their Independence Day from Friday all the way to Monday. Fortunately it was a long weekend here in USA and after the delightful Friday outside the Eritrean Embassy in DC, the celebration continued on Saturday where thousands of Eritreans enjoyed a day out at Fort Hunt park and that followed with a party at Embassy suits. Then the Grand Finale celebration at the Omni Shorham hotel where again thousands of Eritreans attended and enjoyed a colorful night.

On Monday 27 May, again thousands of Eritreans attended a seminar by the the eloquent leaders foreign minister Mr. Osman Saleh and presidential adviser Mr. Yemane Gebreab. The interesting thing here is that, some semi tools attended the seminar and they told me that for sure they were educated and enlightened. Eritrean freedom is a result of sacred blood and bones of Eritreans and nothing will shake the strong wall of Eritreanism.

Canada's racist proxy war against Eritrea needs to stop
Written by Meron Negash

After Reading the Canadian situation, I emailed this to the email provided

How dare you insult the progress of a small nation? Progress of Eritrea

To whom it may concern:

It is sad to see you defaming and dehumanizing the progress of Eritrea by taking the info of the liars that left Eritrea on their own will in order to get the dollar America has or the hard work that Canada is accomplishing!! A lot of those who are claiming that Eritrean GOV is causing them to pay 2 percent are people who are miserable who are not happy for the progress of Eritrea.

If you know anything about the system of Somalia; like the people who are lying to you all and saying that Eritrea is violating human rights are like the hoodlums of Somalia; they do not want any level of civility. They never wanted to follow any order in Eritrea. Healthcare, Education and many other resources are free in Eritrea because the Gov. realizes that it is necessary for progress. Those ppl who are telling you the lies about 2% are out to destroy any level of stability in Eritrea! They are people who do not want to follow any order in a society. They want to overthrow any Gov who is for good of a country! They are the type of people who will come to Canada and work under the table just so they do not have to pay taxes! They understand the need for order but they want to destroy it by any means necessary.

Please do not victimize a country that is on a constant uphill progress and working hard to feed it's people without taking world bank loans but instead organizing so well the people to work hard in order to feed it's own population. Those who understand that we could farm and eat, they are working and going along with the plan and allowing the leaders to lead until the international situations are situated and Eritrea is recognized as a country.

Please be mindful of what you listen to. If you research further, you will see that those who are telling you this want to overthrow any level of stability in Eritrea. They do not want to stabilize Eritrea because they do not understand the hard work that is done to even run one organization. They do not respect even your organization if you see the a little deeper. A lot of the people who are complaining already benefited from a Western equivalent Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degrees at the expense of the sacrifice and decision of the president and Gov. at this point. But, they want to come to your country and for the sake of asylum want to fabricate these lies. It is important you look deeper onto the issue before you create hate and lies that they are leading you to.

2% has never been a must in and from Eritrea. I have donated to Eritrea for different causes as an American now who was born in Eritrea. It is not up to you as a country to say how Canadians spend their money or who they donate to. It is very dictatorship style of you to say that we should not give to anyone; would you not think?

Back to the Somali situation, since America wanted to support one group over the other and wanted to kill the president at that time, they were defeated because there was not enough understanding of what is down on the ground. At this time, the ones that are informing you are ones that are organizing to destroy any level of civility created in Eritrea/Horn of Africa.

I warn that you research and not take what they say to be truth! IT is not professional to listen to these people. I guarantee you it is better to wait before going from their word.

Thank you for considering the reality of hard working people and a level of order that has been established by the Good Gov. of Eritrea.

Please protect civility and protect the relationship between Canada and Eritrea; Please move forward and not backwards.

From a concerned citizen
